11月18日，美海军“康涅狄格”号海狼级攻击型核潜艇从关岛港口驶出。据报道，由于夏威夷缺乏用于维修核潜艇的干船坞，预计“康涅狄格”号将返回美国本土进行维修。
此前，该核潜艇10月2日在南海水下发生碰撞事故，撞上海底山脉，事故导致11名水手受伤，正副艇长及水手长被解职。
